The project is conceived as an international collaboration of 22 architecture offices working on a masterplan for a completely new city nearby Bratislava under the supervision of architects van den oever zaaijer and partners. With emphasis on structural planning the program for this 240 hectares development has all the diversity and services a city should contain, filling an existing void in infrastructure and basic public facilities, so typical for most of the current developments. The general layout is based on qualities defined by the keywords Diversity, Identity and Flexibility as tools for achieving sustainable planning. Designing a quiet zone for a high density individual – collective housing we are finding our position in this large scale experimental project by practising our research on a mix of various housing typologies and creating small scale semi-public places.
